Networking opportunities

Transportation Group Conference 2018 is the perfect opportunity to network with old colleagues, meet fellow participants and speakers or make new contacts. Below are just a few of the networking activities and events for you to take part in during the conference week.

Tuesday 20 March 6:30pm onwards

Join your colleagues for an informal gathering at Pig & Whistle, 41 Ballarat Street. First drink & nibbles provided by Southern region of Transportation Group.  Cash bar.

Wednesday 21 March 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Join a small group of delegates (maximum 20) at one of 3 restaurants of your choice.  Nearer the time we will have menu and cost options available for you to decide.

welcome breakfast

Wednesday 21 March 7:30am - 10:00am

Join us in the lobby of Millennium Hotel sharp at 7:30am to kick-start the conference on the historical Earnslaw. The welcome breakfast is included in your conference registration.

Additional tickets can be purchased @ $108.70 + GST ($125). 


gala dinner

Thursday 22 March 6:30pm - 11:30pm

Here is a chance for you to celebrate and unwind with your colleagues and other delegates after an intense week of learning. Join us for the gala dinner from 6:30pm. Surprise venue with a theme that embraces the conference.
Then:  your take on the past
Now:   for those that prefer not to dress up or what you dreamed you would have become when you were a child
Tomorrow:   what does the future hold?

See some of the best products and services available to the Transportation Group, talk to expert suppliers about your needs, and take a break with a barista coffee. Join exhibitors at the social functions where you can make contacts and network further.




Friday 23 March

Take part in these informal gatherings to discuss current topics in the profession, and share experiences and suggestions with other delegates.


Wednesday 21 - Friday 23 March

Showcase your creativity at the Conference by participating in the #tgnz18

Entry is via Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #tgnz18

There are three categories for entry:

  • Best Picture - capture the essence of the annual conference in a single shot.
  • Best Short Film - We're looking for the best video of the annual conference.
  • Best Exhibitor Tweet - Get down to the exhibition and show the exhibitors some love. Bonus points for including their handle(s).

The competition is a bit of fun and a chance for you to showcase your team whilst you're in Queenstown. Winners announced at the end of conference.
